Dance with God
A lot of different rhythms and songs distract us: the pulse of work, the static of personal conflict, the deep bass drone of dread. How do we listen for the rhythm of God? How can our lives be a celebration, a dance which glorifies the Lord? Are we ready to let God lead? Join us as we learn to find the melody, to be the harmonies, and to join in the dance which is, was, and always will be.
We ask that anyone who is musically inclined bring their instrument of choice. Our speaker, Jay, is a musician as well as a pastor and will be teaching us some fresh music.
Jay Gamelin is the pastor of Jacob's Porch on 13th and High in Columbus. He is also a nationally renowned speaker and has been the key note speaker at youth conferences in 32 states. He is funny, unusual, thoughtful, honest, passionate, faithful, and a sinner in need of God. This event is for all young adults 18 years old (and out of high school) through 29 years old.
The retreat will start at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and end on Sunday after worship. Please bring the following items with you: Bedding or sleeping bag and pillow, towels and other toiletries, Bible and notebook .
PLEASE NOTE: We will
NOT be in the Monroe Lodge, we will be staying in the
Cabin Clusters.

Laura Huffman
(left) is a member at First Christian Church in Medina. Laura is working in customer service to pay the bills, and working as a church musician to ensure that the hymns are sung fast enough.
Ryan Turner
(center) is a member at Central Christian Church in Kettering. Ryan has done mission work in India and is currently a full time student at The Ohio State University.
Susan Wilson
(right) is a member at Central Christian Church in Warren. Susan is in the midst of an academic marathon, pursuing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Ohio University.

Advance Conference
(for persons ages 19 - 29 & out of High School)
Advance Conference is the young adult ministry for the Christian Church in Ohio, Disciples of Christ. It is a place that provides young adults a place where they can enjoy a community of Christian friends and share their love, life, and fellowship, and develop a stronger faith in Jesus Christ. Those that are members of a Disciples of Christ congregation in Ohio are probably familiar with the Chi Rho and CYF summer camps. Advance Conference is the "what's next" after high school graduation. But we are not just a summer camp! We also have two retreats, as well as mission trips, a concert and other activities throughout the year. The retreats and weeklong camp are held at Camp Christian in Magnetic Springs, Ohio. Each event features keynote speakers, music, Bible studies, group activities, dancing, 3 square meals a day (including chipped beef), and the awesomely friendly and lovable conferees that love going there year after year.
